PassRun - Excavator Operator — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 August 2026 (first effective 4 August 2026)

PassRun - Excavator Operator, hereinafter "the App", is a study app for the Korean excavator operator written examination. The developer takes your privacy seriously and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and other applicable laws. This policy explains what information the App collects and uses.

1. No sign-up required · Where your study data is stored

The App requires no account or login and does not ask for personal data such as your name, email address or phone number in order to study.

※ Separately from the study data above, anonymous statistics that cannot identify you are collected and transmitted as described in §4-1.

2. Personal data collected when you send a training-centre enquiry

Only when you choose to write and send an enquiry on the App's "Training" screen do we collect the information below. If you do not send an enquiry, no personal data is collected at all.

You may decline to give consent. In that case only the enquiry feature is unavailable; all study features continue to work normally.

3. Information collected automatically by advertising

The App serves Google AdMob ads (banner, interstitial, native, app open and rewarded). For ad delivery and fraud prevention, Google may automatically collect and process:

For details on Google's processing, see:

Your choice about personalised ads

Personalised ads can be turned off inside the App — the "Allow personalized ads" switch on the Settings screen. On first launch the App shows this choice once; the default is on. You can change it in Settings at any time.

4. Processors

The developer entrusts processing to the following parties for enquiry handling and advertising.

ProcessorEntrusted work
Google LLC (Firebase / Cloud Firestore) Storage and management of training-centre enquiries
Google LLC (AdMob) Serving in-app advertising and measuring ad performance
PostHog, Inc. (PostHog Cloud US) Storing and analysing the anonymous usage statistics in §4-1

Processors handle the data only within the scope of the entrusted purpose.

4-1. Anonymous usage statistics for service quality, and their transfer overseas

To improve question quality and run the service, the App collects the anonymous information below and sends it to Google Firebase and to PostHog. It contains nothing that identifies you personally, and the study data in §1 is never transmitted.

ItemDetails
Collected Anonymous identifier (randomly issued, not linked to an account or name)
Per-question correct/incorrect counts (which questions are missed most often)
App usage events (screen views, ad impressions/clicks, etc.)
App package name, operating system (Android/iOS), timestamp
PurposeAnalysing question errors and difficulty, feature improvement, service statistics
RetentionUntil the statistical purpose is achieved (kept in a form that cannot identify individuals)

Of the above, the product-analytics events are transferred and stored overseas as follows. The transferred information contains nothing that identifies you personally.

RecipientPostHog, Inc. (privacy@posthog.com)
CountryUnited States (PostHog Cloud US, us.i.posthog.com)
Items transferredThe items above — anonymous identifier, app usage events, app package name and platform
PurposeUsage statistics and product analytics
MethodSent from the App over encrypted communication (HTTPS) as each event occurs
RetentionUntil the purpose is achieved (kept in a form that cannot identify individuals)

This anonymous collection and the overseas transfer are always on, and the App has no switch to turn them off. Because only non-identifying information is collected, this notice takes the place of a separate consent step. If you want the collection or the transfer stopped, contact us at the address in §9; every study feature keeps working either way.

5. Provision to third parties

The developer does not sell or provide your personal data to third parties. Where you have requested an introduction to a training centre, the minimum information necessary for the consultation may be passed to that institution only after separately informing you and obtaining your consent.

6. Your rights

You may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal data. Contact us at the address below and we will act without delay. Study data stored on your device can be deleted by you directly from the App's settings.

7. Children's data

The App is intended for national technical qualification study and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 14.
