PassRun - Hazardous Materials, hereinafter "the App", is a study app for the Korean hazardous materials industrial engineer written examination. The developer takes your privacy seriously and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and other applicable laws. This policy explains what information the App collects and uses.

The App requires no account or login and does not ask for personal data such as your name, email address or phone number in order to study.
The "Training" tab is the channel for training centres to ask about in-app advertising and partnerships. It is not a feature for learners to find a school. The following data is collected only if you write and send an enquiry; if you never send one, no personal data is collected at all.

You may decline to consent. In that case only the enquiry feature is unavailable — every study feature continues to work normally.
When you send an enquiry, the App obtains a random identifier (UID) through anonymous sign-in with Google Firebase Authentication.
The App shows Google AdMob ads (a bottom banner, an interstitial shown once right before the result screen after a full mock exam, and native ads between list items). No ads are shown while you are answering questions, and no app-open ad is used on launch. In the process Google may automatically collect and process the following in order to serve ads and prevent abuse.
Google collects and processes this data directly; the developer sees only aggregated ad performance reports from which individuals cannot be identified. For details on Google's processing, please see:
You can limit personalised advertising in your device settings. (Android: Settings → Google → Ads / iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking) On iOS, under the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) policy, the App does not access the IDFA unless you allow tracking, and non-personalised ads are shown instead.
The anonymous usage statistics the App collects are described separately in §4-1 below.
Personalized ads consent. On first launch, after you choose a language, the App asks whether personalized ads may be used. Declining changes nothing about the features you get; ads still appear but are not matched to your interests. You can change this any time under Settings → Info → "Allow personalized ads". On iOS the system App Tracking Transparency prompt follows only if you allow it here, and the IDFA is accessed only if you allow it there.
Users in the EEA and the UK. In those regions a Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form is shown on launch under the GDPR, and ads are served according to that consent. You can change it again under Settings → Info → "Ad privacy settings (GDPR)" (the item appears only for users in those regions).
To improve question quality and app features, the App collects the anonymous information below and sends it to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and to PostHog. It contains nothing that identifies you personally, and the study records in §1 are never transmitted.

This anonymous collection is always on and the App has no switch to turn it off. Because only non-identifying information is collected, this notice takes the place of a separate consent step. If you want the collection or the transfer stopped, contact us at the address in §12; every study feature keeps working either way.
The developer entrusts processing as follows, in order to receive enquiries and serve ads.

Processors handle the data only within the scope of the entrusted purpose.
The processor in section 5 is Google LLC (United States), and enquiry contents may be stored and processed in overseas data centres operated by Google.

You may refuse the overseas transfer simply by not using the enquiry feature. Every study feature remains fully usable with no information transferred abroad.
The anonymous usage statistics in §4-1 are transferred and stored overseas as follows. The transferred information contains nothing that identifies you personally.

This overseas transfer always takes place and the App offers no switch to stop it individually. To request that it stop, contact us at the address in §12.
The App may send a single daily study reminder. It is a local notification created on your device, not a server push. No device token, contact detail or any other information is collected or sent anywhere for it.
The developer does not sell or provide your personal data to third parties.
Learners' study records and personal data are never given to the training centres that advertise in the App. An advert simply displays content the centre supplied; not even the fact that a particular learner saw it is passed on.
You may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of the processing of your personal data. Contact us at the address below and we will act without delay. We may verify the name and contact number you entered with your enquiry in order to confirm your identity.
The App is intended for national technical qualification study and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 14.

The App does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or external storage permissions.
