PassRun GED Korea Privacy Policy

Effective: August 18, 2026 (first effective August 3, 2026)

PassRun GED Korea ("the app") is a study app for the Korean GED (qualification) written exam. We value your privacy and comply with applicable laws including the Korean Personal Information Protection Act. This policy explains what the app collects and how it is used.

1. No account, no personal information input

The app has no sign-up or login, and has no feature that asks for your name, email, phone number or any other personal information.

2. Anonymous statistics

To improve question quality and operate the service, the app sends the following anonymous information to Google Firebase and PostHog. It contains nothing that identifies you personally.

ItemDetails
Collected A randomly generated anonymous identifier (not linked to any account or name)
Per-question right/wrong aggregates (which questions are missed often)
App usage events (screen usage, study started/finished/abandoned)
PurposeQuestion error/difficulty analysis, feature improvement, service statistics
RetentionUntil the statistical purpose is fulfilled (kept in non-identifiable form)

This anonymous collection is always on and the app has no switch to turn it off. Because only non-identifying information is collected, this notice takes the place of a separate consent step. If you want the collection stopped, contact us at the address below; study features remain fully available either way.

3. Permissions and advertising

The app requests no location, contacts, camera, microphone or photo permission. There is exactly one permission:

PermissionPurposeCan I decline?
Notifications (Android 13+ / iOS) Only if you turn it on: one encouraging study reminder per day Yes. Every study feature works the same if you decline, and you can switch it off at any time in Settings.

The app shows one interstitial ad after you finish a question set. There are no banner ads and no app-open ads, and no ad ever appears while you are solving questions.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. In the process Google may automatically collect and process the following for ad delivery and fraud prevention:

You can turn personalised ads off in Settings → Advertising → Personalised ads. Ads still appear, but they are no longer based on your advertising identifier.

On iOS the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is shown once, right after you choose your language. If you decline, the IDFA is not accessed and only non-personalised ads are shown — every study feature works exactly the same either way. You can also limit ad personalisation in your device settings.

The transfer constitutes processing delegation necessary to provide and improve the service. Under Article 28-8(1)3 of the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea, it is carried out by disclosing the transferred items, country, timing, method, purpose and retention period in this policy — no separate consent is obtained for each transfer.

You may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing at any time via the contact below. Locally stored study records can be deleted directly in the app settings.
