PassRun - Confectionery Technician Exam Privacy Policy

Effective: August 20, 2026 (first effective August 3, 2026)

PassRun - Confectionery Technician Exam ("the app") is a study app for the Korean Confectionery Technician written exam. We value your privacy and comply with applicable laws including the Korean Personal Information Protection Act. This policy explains what the app collects and how it is used.

1. No account, no personal information input

The app has no sign-up or login, and has no feature that asks for your name, email, phone number or any other personal information.

2. Anonymous statistics

To improve question quality and operate the service, the app sends the following anonymous information to Google Firebase and PostHog. It contains nothing that identifies you personally.

ItemDetails
Collected A randomly generated anonymous identifier (not linked to any account or name)
Per-question right/wrong aggregates (which questions are missed often)
App usage events (screen usage, ad impressions/clicks)
PurposeQuestion error/difficulty analysis, feature improvement, service statistics
RetentionUntil the statistical purpose is fulfilled (kept in non-identifiable form)

This anonymous collection is always on and the app has no switch to turn it off. Because only non-identifying information is collected, this notice takes the place of a separate consent step. If you want the collection stopped, contact us at the address below; study features remain fully available either way.

3. Information collected automatically by advertising

The app shows Google AdMob interstitial (full-screen) ads only. One appears after you submit a full mock exam, just before the result screen; no ads are shown while you are answering questions. Google may automatically collect and process the following to serve ads and prevent fraud:

On first launch the app asks once for ad personalisation consent. If you allow, you will see ads matched to your interests; if you decline, you will see non-personalised ads. Every feature of the app remains available either way. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form is shown first, as required by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive. That form lets you review the advertising purposes and the vendors involved (Google and its ad partners) and accept or refuse them; if you refuse, no data processing for personalised advertising takes place. You can reopen and change this choice from Settings → Ads in the app.

You can change this choice anytime in app Settings → Ads → Personalised ads.

You can limit personalized ads in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads / iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).

4. Processing delegation

Part of the anonymous statistics in Section 2 is transferred abroad for product analytics. Nothing personally identifiable is included.

This transfer takes place at all times and the app has no switch to stop it individually. To request that it stop, contact us at the address below; study features remain fully available either way.

The transfer constitutes processing delegation necessary to provide and improve the service. Under Article 28-8(1)3 of the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea, it is carried out by disclosing the transferred items, country, timing, method, purpose and retention period in this policy — no separate consent is obtained for each transfer.

5. Third-party provision

We do not sell or provide your personal information to third parties.

6. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing at any time via the contact below. Locally stored study records can be deleted directly in the app settings.

6-1. Notifications

The app can send one study reminder a day to help you keep studying. It is a local notification created on your device, not a server push. No device token, contact detail, or any other data is collected or sent for it.

7. Children's privacy

The app is intended for national technical qualification study and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
